I can confidently say NO, I will not be watching the Office anymore. Really? An eighth, YES EIGHTH, season? And now without Steve Carell? At first I planned on watching because I was severely outraged that Steve was passed over for an Emmy yet again. But now that I have come to terms with the loss of Michael Scott, and the loss of Carell’s Emmy, my vision has cleared and I will not be watching the Office.
For those of you who haven’t seen it, avert your eye it’s a spoiler. I was half hoping that James Spader’s character Robert California would be the new boss. Who doesn’t love James Spader? But no, we couldn’t have had that. Instead, they haphazardly threw Andy Bernard into the boss’ chair. While I’ve always said Andy Bernard was my favorite Office character, mostly because of the love I have for Ed Helms, he was my favorite character because of his position and his constant plight. That is all gone now. I mean, I guess it’s still funny, Dwight is still there.
