Monirobo’s to be deployed at Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant.

Posted on by John N. Pulliam

As Popular Science declares it,  ”Japan has a suite of earthquake rescue robots“,  and the first of them was reported to arrive at the plant in Fukushima today.   Monirobo the robot sent in to monitor the radiation in the affected area,  is the first sent in but his presence made positive as of yet.
Nuclear safety agency official Hidehiko Nishiyama said: “We have no reports of any robots being used.”  Another Japanese news paper Asahi Shimbun claims that two will be on loan from  the Nuclear Safety Technology Center,  one red Monirobo  to monitor the radiation levels at the broken reactors,  while another yellow one will take earth samples and monitor explosive gasses .   With all this said it is still unclear if there is even actually any robot’s doing work to help with this nuclear crisis.  All of this is speculation as of now.  My best to everyone effected by the situation.
