I am really excited about this one… A few months ago Ana Gasteyer let it slip that Ben & Jerry’s would be making an ice cream flavor based on the iconic Saturday Night Live skit featuring her, Molly Shannon, and Alec Baldwin. Most of us disregarded it as another joke. We were WRONG!!! Ben & Jerry’s announced last week that “Schweddy Balls” ice cream was being delivered to stores around the country. If you don’t remember the skit, the I hate you, and I’m not going to debrief you.
According to company spokesman, Sean Greenwood, the flavor is “vanilla ice cream with a hint of rum and is loaded with fudge covered rum balls and milk chocolate malt balls.” According to a few people over at the Huffington Post, the ice cream won’t be living up to the hype. But isn’t the name enough reason to try it? I know a TON of people who would want nothing more than some sweet balls in their mouths this holiday season!!
