Don’t Mess with Jessi Robertson

Posted on by Layton Weedeman

When listening to Jessi Robertson’s music, you get a sense that something considerable is being unearthed. Topics brought to light that might make you feel weary and unsettled, but portray a real life story. One that’s filled without any gimmicks or games.

The depths of her songwriting and storytelling are almost surreal. And accompanied by a glass of whiskey and cigarettes only enhance the experience. Her voice alone is a force to be reckoned with. Unwavering and heartfelt lyrics combined with one of the most powerful female voices in Brooklyn equals a compelling shot to the head.

If you ever need a moment to reflect, I suggest tuning in to Jessi Robertson.

Check out her latest release Small Town Girls and catch her live at Bar 4 September 21 when she teams up with Courtesy Tier to form Panic Attack.
