So I stumbled onto to Ava Luna completely by accident. Random Facebook clicking led to random Facebook photo albums. Josa from Golden Ages posted Ava Luna’s SXSW photo album, after clicking through it I thought I might check out the band it belonged to. Much to my surprise, this band wasn’t just good, Ava Luna sort of made me want to start a dance party in my living room. Think 60s girl group meets stax records soul while someone who sounds like a more soulful James Murphy brings it all home.
