I know most of you city kids that read Blaqbook own a bike to get around town. Living in Philly for a few years, I’ve gotten used to seeing people riding around old beaters they call bikes. I always had a feeling that you lost a bit of street cred if you bought a new bike instead of somehow “acquiring” an old fixed gear.
After watching this vid, I kinda don’t care about street cred. The ad you are about to watch is for the new Diablo bicycle from NeilPryde. Growing up in the suburbs, we got bored on way too many summer nights. Yet someone, let’s call him a genius, decided to play sports…on fire. Tennis balls drenched in gasoline replaced golf balls, ramps were lit on fire to jump with our bikes…yes we were those kids. Now watching this video as a quasi-adult and using a bike to get around town is just a mix of old times and good times filling up my mind on the daily commute.
I want to buy a Diablo, light it on fire, and ride to work.
You can buy the Diablo and others at NeilPrydebikes.com
